Women's Retreat
Once a year, women of Temple Menorah leave the to-do lists behind and head off together for a weekend of connection, renewal, and joy. Our intergenerational Women's Retreat brings grandmothers, mothers, daughters, and friends side by side to learn, relax, and grow closer, weaving the generations of our community together.
About the retreat
The retreat takes place at the Brandeis-Bardin Campus of American Jewish University, a beautiful retreat setting in the hills outside Los Angeles. Away from the rush of everyday life, it is a chance to breathe, reflect, and reconnect, with time for learning, conversation, celebration, and rest. Women of every age and stage are welcome, whether you come with family or arrive on your own and leave with new friends.
Part of Women of Temple Menorah
The retreat is one of the gifts of Women of Temple Menorah, also known as The Braid, our temple sisterhood. The Braid braids together women of all generations in friendship, learning, and support, and helps weave the fabric of our wider community. When you join the retreat, you become part of this circle of women who show up for one another all year long.
More ways to gather
The Braid brings women together throughout the year, not just on retreat. A few of the gatherings to look forward to:
- Belong and Blend in the Sukkah – Sangria, smoothies, and treats with women of all ages during the holiday of Sukkot.
- Pink Shabbat (Rose with the Rabbi). A Shabbat dedicated to cancer awareness, support, and community.
