The first Friday evening of every month at Temple Menorah is a Tot Shabbat service/program especially designed for families with preschool-aged children. This lively service, conducted by Rabbi Silver and Cantor Didi, combines songs, stories and prayers in a creative and energetic manner to engage all members of the family. Grandparents and extended family are included in the worship service too! The Tot Shabbat program begins at 5:30pm with a fun arts and crafts project followed by a delicious kosher dinner. At 6:30pm, the Tot Shabbat service commences followed by a festive community Oneg Shabbat celebration. A special story is always read to the youngsters during the oneg Shabbat.
Every Tot Shabbat reflects a different theme or holiday and associated craft.
